Chicken Nugget is a gentle one-year-old who has come a long way since his early days as an undersocialized kitten. Found outside, he needed time to learn how to be a carefree kitty, and with the patience of his foster family, he’s grown into a sweet and curious boy. While shy in new situations, Chicken Nugget blossoms with kindness and understanding, showing his playful and affectionate side once he feels comfortable. He has a particular fondness for male cats and would thrive in a home with a feline buddy to help him continue learning the ropes.
This quiet and reserved boy is also familiar with dogs, making him a versatile companion in the right home. Chicken Nugget prefers a calm environment where he can take his time adjusting and getting to know his people. While he may not immediately jump onto your lap, the wait for his trust and cuddles will be more than worth it. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive soul to share your home, Chicken Nugget might just be your perfect match.
Interested in adopting?
Step 1. Visit me today! A meet-and-greet is required to start the adoption journey. Use this special space to connect and ensure you’re bringing home the right cat for your family. Repeat visits are always encouraged to build a stronger connection!
Step 2. Connect with the rescue. New Leash Rescue is a volunteer foster based rescue that has been helping cats and dogs from shelters, impounds, and owner surrenders since 2018. If you are interested in adopting please request a cat adoption application by emailing newleashrescue2018@gmail.com. To help streamline communication, use the subject line: [Cat’s Name] The Cafe Meow. In the email body, include when you met the cat and why you’d like to adopt them.
Step 3. Wait for an application to be sent back to your request. Please allow at least 72 hours for a response. If you don’t hear back after that, send a follow-up email in case the original was missed. Email is the best way to get in touch and begin the adoption process.
Note: As part of the adoption process, volunteers will be checking veterinary references on past or current pets to ensure they saw received regular recommended veterinary care including vaccinations. We require proof of a negative feLV test on file for any resident cats.
If you need further assistance please stop by again and chat with our team. We are happy to help with any questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
