Romeo had been rescued from a trailer park after he had been thrown out of his home and left to fend for himself. Although he tried to blend in with the colony of cats, he was obviously struggling to survive. A kind soul took him in and got him the help that he needed. She then helped him find his way to us.
Romeo has been with us for a while as we search for his new forever home. He is a very sweet and affectionate boy. He does tend to over groom his legs where you will see that he has some hair loss but this has improved greatly. Recently, we noticed that he had a number of bumps on his head and neck area. To our dismay, our vet found that these were BBs from a time in his life when someone had shot him at close range. (You will see the shaved spots on his head where the BBs were removed. ) This is so disheartening to know that someone could harm such a sweet and gentle boy.
Romeo wants nothing more than to please his human. He does well with other cats but may also be equally as happy as an only kitty provided his human is home often to give him lots of TLC. This sweet boy will charm you with his affectionate cuddles and will be happy to participate in anything you do around the house. Because of his past, we do not feel that he would do well with young children or dogs in the home.
