Adopted!

DOB: 9/15/2016
Length at Cafe: 2/6/2022 – 3/1/2022
Maribelle came to us as a stray. She was very thin and had severe dental issues. Her mouth was so inflamed that the vet felt that it was best to extract all her teeth. This was most likely due to a very poor-quality diet. She is now eating well and loves her canned food! Her mouth looks so much better, and she is slowly putting on weight. This gentle little lady has a heart of gold. She is shy at first until she knows your intention – Give her a few pets and she will melt into your hand. We have noticed that she is leery of hands near her face and mouth. We are not sure if she had been mistreated in her previous home or if the memories of her mouth pain are so extreme. With a little patience, she will snuggle right up to you and reward you with her amazing purr! Maribelle seems to do well with other cats but has an independent personality. We feel that she would do just fine as an only kitty provided her human is not gone for too long. She would appreciate a very quiet and patient home where she can enjoy some catnaps and snuggle time. This little lady has so much love to give. Because of her shyness and unknown past, we would for her to go to a home with no children or dogs. To maintain her oral health, we will also recommend that she stays on grain-free canned food and OTC supplements that will keep her immune system health and strong.
Maribelle has been spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV/HW (negative), microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $200+tax.
