You’ll never hear Dakota dreading that “It’s time to make the doughnuts!” But rather when she sees your hand coming for her it’s head down and paws start kneading! Dakota was part of a large outdoor colony of cats at a rural Wisconsin farm. The owner had passed away and 40+ cats were too many for the new owner so we stepped in! Some cats were returned while many others were taken to no-kill shelters, rescues, or the super shy kitties stayed with us. Dakota was really struggling but this past year found some good friends in our colony room and realized just how much more can food you get when you don’t hide. Dakota is great with cats and dogs- as long as they do not bother her. This little biscuit maker would enjoy a quiet place to sun, play with wand toys, and watch movies. Nothing fancy or busy for this gal! Have a quiet home and seeking a chill companion?! Dakota is your lady!

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor
If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.
If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
