Donna was rescued from Animal Control in Bloomington, so nothing is known about her early life, unfortunately. She had been there the longest of any of the cats, but still clearly had a very sweet personality. In the several months that she has been in foster care she definitely has shown that she is not only a very beautiful cat, but also just a total sweetheart! She made the transition from Animal Control to a quiet bedroom at the foster home very easily and came out for pets and treats within just a few hours. She has some of the softest fur of any cat I’ve known and she will happily spend time winding her way back and forth in front of you purring and accepting affection. She has not proven to be much of a lap cat yet, but that will certainly come as she fully settles into her new home. When she is really happy she likes to give gentle “love bites,” especially on elbows, and she is a total fool for cat nip! She also does this really cute thing where she cleans here face with the pads of her paws (instead of the backs like most cats) and it kind of makes her look a little human in a weird way. She is a sweetheart and a bit of a goofball! Donna has been spayed and had her first shots and a dewormer. She isn’t reactive to cats in general, but also isn’t submissive when challenged. If she goes to a home with other cats they should all be a fairly calm and open bunch. She has no experience with dogs or very young children, but is comfortable with older children (7 and older). She will likely do best in a home where the energy is reliably calm and there aren’t too many surprises or disturbances
This cat has been spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative), up to date on vaccinations, internal parasite tested (negative), and microchipped.
