I have been called many things; handsome, soft, adorable, but a purrrrrrfect friend is my favorite. My name is Georgie. I was adopted from a shelter as a kitten to a family who wanted a calm peaceful cat. However I did not grow up that way and instead my silly kitten playful side was too much for them to handle.  My first family ended up taking me to the vet to be euthanized. Luckily the vet clinic saw my worth and had the family surrender me instead. Since the original shelter was unable to take me back, I ended up with HTTR. When I first arrived I was very stressed. Some people could say I acted feral but honestly I was just terrified. Within a couple of weeks I realized that I was safe and loved and started coming around to being one amazing kitty. My foster mom says I can be very silly but I truly just love to be with my people and get pets and scratches.  I really need a family who can embrace my youthful behaviors. But to be quite honest I’ve actually just been a pretty chill guy in foster. My perfect home would be indoor only, I’m not a cat who seeks outdoor adventures. I’m fine with other cats and around dogs that absolutely do not bother me. This is really important for my forever family to understand. In my first home the dogs would bark, chase, and corner me. I lived the first year of my life always trying to look out for danger. But I have been working on it! In my foster home I seem to be very curious about the dogs who leave me alone. I lack the best social skills when meeting new cats. I can growl and hiss, I guess I just don’t know any other way. So with slow introductions I have had some buddies I co-exists with and from time to time briefly played with too. The past year I have not been around children so if anyone in the home is over 10 years old and respectful I bet  I can be on my best behavior too! I really just need a chance at finding the right family for me. When I do, I can’t wait to show you just how amazing of a boy I am!

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor

If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.

If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
