Hey! Up Here! Down There! Over here! My name is Buttercup! I came to the rescue as part of a TNR colony. The caregivers did not want me back after surgery so I ended up in foster at 3 months old. This is typically an age where cats go back because we are pretty feisty and scared to be socialized. It took several months but I finally started to show interest in people! My foster says I am very silly and that other cats bring out the best in me. New experiences are a bit scary so I will hide and be shy at first but once I feel safe, I can’t wait to show you my bubbly side. A great way to do this is with other confident feline friends,  string toys, catnip, and interactive games!  My forever home will need to have at least one other cat to keep me company. Dogs should be fine, but please make sure they are polite with me as we get to know each other. I have not spent time with children but could get along just fine if they try not to pick me up. Because of my background, I need to feel safe so the outdoors can be for the birds and me to watch through a window. If you are a family who is interested in a friend for your current cat, want someone silly, and independent I will be your gal!

Just to Review:

🐱Living Arrangements: Indoor only. But an enclosed catio would be cool.

🐱Good w/ Cats: Yes and a must please!

🐱Good w/ Dogs: Sure! I could take ‘em or  leave ‘em! No chasing please!

🐱Good w/children: Not much experience but over 12 years might be okay

🐱Other: My nose has hair growing towards my nasal, it’s nothing to worry about!

Buttercup has been spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV/HW (negative), vaccinated, internal parasite tested (negative), and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225 which includes tax.

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor

If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.

If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
