If you have ever heard the old phrase “The Girl Next Door,” I am what they had in mind. It is nice to meet you, my name is Bantam Bailey. You may notice there are several of my house mats here or coming to the cafe soon! There was this person who allowed cats to reproduce in their home about a year ago. Those cats were helped, however, he allowed more cats to come in and reproduce which is where I came from. What a bummer huh?! Well, not that I was born because I’m a petite ray of sunshine but rather being born in a not-so-good situation. It’s okay though because I am here! There were 18 of us left with nowhere to go, luckily we found safety with HTTR. It took me a bit of time to warm up to the people but I was taken from my home, spayed, kenneled then moved again; it was scary! Once I found out the people wanted to give me pets, it was game on! Transitions will continue to make me nervous so any new home will need to give me a week or so to adjust. After that time, my real self can shine! My foster family says I am a gentle old soul for being such a young gal. I patiently wait for canned food, which I much enjoy! I will be a great lap kitty ready to cuddle on chilly nights or sit in the sun while you read a book. I am also an A+ feline companion but need them to be a bit more outgoing and show me I am safe. In my new home it will be important I have a feline buddy. Respectful children over 10 years old would probably be okay, since I’m not really sure what “children” even are. Loud busy families will be too stressful for me so be sure you are adopting me for the right reasons and not just because I am beautiful. My foster family says how wonderful life will be in a clean home with just a few other friends, it sounds like a dream come true. If you think we could be the best of friends, complete that application and let’s get out of here!

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor
If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.
If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
