April came to us in very rough shape. This poor gal was fearful of people, covered in mud and dragging her back leg. A good Samaritan was able to trap her and get her to us for the medical attention that she so desperate needed. We found that her back leg was so severely twisted and dislocated from the hip that we had to have it amputated. It was a long road of recovery with a lot of TLC to win her trust. Fortunately, she has a great love of food which helped tremendously with winning her over! Now that she has realized how great human attention is, she is thriving! She is still very shy with new people but adores attention. We have noticed her fear of hands and feel that she had been mishandled in the past (possibly why her leg was damaged). She also appears to have scar tissue in her eyes which may be limiting her sight a tad as well.
April LOVES to nuzzle her foster mom’s face and will purr up a storm. She loves to be near her human and even enjoys a little lap time too! April will need a very quiet and accommodating home. This beautiful tripaw gal will need a vey patient home that is willing to give her all that is needed for her disability. We do not feel that she would do well around children or dogs. She does fine with mellow cats but would be very happy with a human who can be home a lot to give her all the attention that she needs. This gentle souled gal has so much to offer!
April has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for FeLV/FIV (negative). Her adoption fee is $150+tax
