Hello there! Go ahead and pet my coat. I know you want it is as soft as silk! My name is Burdock and it is very nice to meet you! I was a stray at an HTTR foster home where they had me TNR’d. Last summer when I showed up I was not showing signs of wanting to be a friend. Now that all changed when they started to be outside more. I felt safe and became one VERY sweet boy towards people and the other outdoor cats there! Where they live being a friendly farm cat isn’t the safest so they took me in and here I am. When life throws me a curveball I can be a bit shy and reserved. It takes me time to feel safe and comfortable. After that I will become your shadow and follow you everywhere! I want pets and hugs and kisses! I love to be pet and will let you do it for hours. Playtime is probably one of the most important things on my list in life; string toys, interactive toys, jingle toys- everything will be a toy if I am not mentally and physically stimulated. I am a VERY busy boy and will absolutely need a feline friend- or more- in my forever home. Dogs may be okay but living outside made me nervous around them so if there’s a dog no chasing or playing with me please. I have not spent a lot of time with children but if they are respectful, sure! I am not confident about being picked up so please keep this in mind. My foster mom is so heartbroken to see me go since I’ve been such a good friend to them this past year but knows I deserve a much safer and better life. I hope that will be with you!
Just to Review:
🐱Living Arrangements: Indoor only. But an enclosed catio would be cool. With proper training and time a fitting harness/leash could be fun.
🐱Good w/ Cats: Yes! I will need another cat who will love me back!
🐱Good w/ Dogs: I could take ‘em or leave ‘em! No chasing please!
🐱Good w/children: Not much experience but over 12 might be okay, I’m not comfortable being picked up all the time
🐱Other: I may not show it at the cafe but I am VERY busy and will need a family who can help me release that energy

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor
If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.
If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
