Greetings from California and Aurora! That’s right we are named after a princess and sunshine state- could it be any better!? We came from a rural farm where our human had passed away and the family decided to ask Here to the Rescue to help trap and fix everyone. Most of our family was feral and returned, but we stayed behind to hopefully be adopted as indoor companion cats someday.
Aurora- I have a sweet soul and am social once I feel comfortable. I am the confident sister who will chirp when I’m happy. There is only one thing you need to know about me… I LOVE my backside being scratched! Please sing “Bare Necessities” from the Jungle Book as you do it too! I am a friend to any other calm cat I’ve met and have been around dogs that don’t chase me.
California- I am not as confident and rely on Aurora to lift me up. New situations can make me nervous but I am relaxed with neck scratches. I’ve been watching Aurora enjoy those backend scratches and am getting into those too! I will need extra time to feel comfortable in my new home but my bestie sister helps me with that!
We love to play with toys that jingle and wrestle each other after dinner. So get ready to be entertained! These ladies have been kennel and roommates since coming to the rescue. There were times they had been split but always ended up together again. This last time someone was interested in Aurora only so we split them again. But Califorina became depressed, stopped eating, and agitated towards the other cats. Once Aurora was reunited the world was a better place again. We feel at this time it is best for the girls to find a home together but will continue to reevaluate their bond with staff as they reside at the Cafe.
