Carter is a 5 month old tuxedo who was trapped outdoors in a large colony of over 50 cats. Initially, he was one of the spiciest of the kittens caught. But after a week of love, his demeanor did a 180! Once he’s comfortable with you, he demands affection and loves to be pet. He even purred up a storm at his vet visits. Initially he may be a bit shy and cautious. He is playful with moderate energy but seems to prefer attention from people. He gets along great with other cats but has not met any dogs yet. He does prefer a calmer environment so may not do best in a busy home. He is still getting used to loud noises like vacuums. Young children and dogs probably would stress Carter out but he would most likely do fine with older respectful children.
This cat has been spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV/parasites (negative), up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is the Adoption fee + TAX.

As part of the adoption process, volunteers will be checking veterinary references on past or current pets to ensure they saw received regular recommended veterinary care including vaccinations. We require proof of a negative feLV test on file for any resident cats.
