Jack came to HTTR from a farm with a lot of family members! It took 2 days to get Jack and his feisty kitten siblings wedged in a barn well. At just 8 weeks they were horribly sick and trying to survive. People were already a threat. This gorgeous boy remains because those who have met him think he’s too shy. Yes, Jack is shy. Yes, Jack isn’t the cuddliest. But Jack is a HOOT! This silly boy loves to play with toys, jingly, soft, anything he can carry around in his mouth! If you throw it he will go get it- he’s doing well with learning fetch! Adopting Jack would be like having a pint-sized pup who uses a litterbox! Jack has a lot to say at the rescue, we always know when a food bowl is empty. Have other pets? Great! Jack enjoys the company of those who like to play and in his down time he loves snuggling into his friends. Jack should have a family with other animals and remain an indoor only cat. He also thinks he should have no or older responsible children in the home since he’s not the biggest fan of being carried around. So if you were thinking about getting cat but was hoping for a dog- Jack’s your man!

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor
If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.
If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
