Hi! I’m José and I am about 7 months old. I was part of an outdoor cat colony until some nice people caught me, and I decided the inside life was for me!
I am a huge fan of other cats, young and old, and have lived with foster brothers and sisters ranging from one month to 11 years old. I would need to have at least one feline friend in my new home so I have a playmate and cuddle buddy!
Since I started my life outdoors, it took me a little bit of time to warm up to my foster mom and dad. Sometimes I still get scared when I hear loud noises or if people approach me too quickly, but I’ve learned that people make good friends and will almost always roll over for a belly rub if I get the chance! My foster mom and Here To The Rescue are cat socializing pros and can give you all the best tips and tricks for how to best introduce me into your home!
I love toys and playing around, and with a little patience, I’m a super cuddly purr machine. I can’t wait to meet my purrfect furever home. Is it with you??
Please know, I’m never going to be your adventure cat. A sunny window or well-secured catio is ok, but I’m not gonna be one for leash training or outdoor wandering. I’ve lived on those mean streets long enough, so please let me live out my days safely inside.
José has been neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV/HW (negative), vaccinated, internal parasite tested (negative), and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225+ tax.

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor
If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me
after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the
confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.
If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
