Do you like to sit? Is sitting your favorite thing? If so, then Rose and her friend Chrysantheum will think you’re their favorite person. There aren’t a lot of pictures of Rose and Chrysantheum and that’s because they’re ALWAYS on their caregiver’s lap, purring away. These two are major lap cats and major purrers. They will even both be on your lap at the same time! (Good thing they’re small!)
Ninety-nine percent of the time they share the lap very well. In fact, they multi task lap time with bath time by washing each other’s faces (and still managing to purr the entire time!). Rose is affectionately known as “Queen of the Derps. Rose quite often has her tongue sticking a bit out. It’s insanely endearing. Chrysantheum is affectionately known as “Mum or “Mummy (because Chrysantheum is a mouthful!). Mummy is a talker! She trills away, particuarly when seeking attention. Rose is pretty reticent, although we suspect she’s the one that howls in the middle of the night. She sings the song of her people. Rose and Mummy are a bit shy but once you sit down – wham! Lap cats purring away. These girls came from a hoarder house. We’re not sure if they’re related and if they’re related, how they’re related. Mother/daughter? Sisters? Cousins? Just really good friends that bonded over an awful situation?
We’ve tried getting the two to eat canned food. Oh, how we’ve tried. We’ve offered pretty much every type of canned food brand and variety there is and even went so far as to offer chicken baby food and tuna. They acted like it wasn’t even food. They do eat dry; Rose tends to over eat when offered a big bowl of food and subsequently vomits. She needs small portions twice a day. Mummy really likes her treats (chicken Temptations).
These cats have been spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative), up to date on vaccinations, internal parasite tested (negative), and microchipped.
