Hi, I’m Phil! Fun fact about me: I have an extra toe on both front paws, making for a great pair of built in mitts! While I may not play catch with you, I’ll make up for it by being a total sweetheart. I have a low energy level but enjoy playing when the moment is right. I have lived with other cats before and am not spooked by the dogs barking in neighboring apartments. With a new sibling, I would likely need a slow intro so they can gain my trust before we are besties. I enjoy both wet and dry food, especially fish flavors! I am proud to say I drink lots of water and have had no litter box issues.

Hunt and chase toys are my favorite, especially when my foster parents want to play with me. While my foster parents are working, I can be found perched on my cat tree looking out the window. I enjoy head scratches and belly rubs, but I will use my voice or a gentle paw to let you know when I’ve had enough. When a loud noise spooks me, I retreat to the safety of my trusty Costco box hiding spot until I regain my bravery (which seems to return faster every time)!

My dream home consists of big windows to look outside and a family that will be patient with me as I adjust to a new environment, but has plenty of love to spare for me once I feel safe. I am not sure if I’ve met a child before, but I imagine if they respect my space and let me move at my own pace we would get along great. My previous human says I was a door darter, but I’ve shown my foster parents that those days may be behind me.
