Zelda is a sweet, quiet girl. She was actually born outside on the streets of Minneapolis where she lived until she was rescued by a kind woman that had been feeding her and her babies. That’s right, Zelda is a mama. She had a litter of kittens while she was just a kitten herself, part of the cruelty of life as a homeless kitty. Her babies have since been weaned and moved on to find their own furever families and now it’s mama Zelda’s turn. But don’t let the fact that she’s already had kittens fool you, she still has a ton of kitten energy herself.

Zelda loves to play. Her favorite is her crinkle tunnel. She wiggles her backend to and fro before pouncing through it. A lot of times she’s not even chasing anything except for the imaginary mouse or chipmunk she’s concocted in her head. (She likes to reminisce about her prior life when she used to hunt them for dinner). She also likes to bat around her little toy mice and springs. She will need some tutoring on how to play with wand toys as she’s somewhat frightened of them at the moment, but she should be able to pick it up in no time. She thoroughly enjoys catnip as well. Once she’s exhausted herself with playtime you will often find her asleep on her cardboard scratch pad which is just an adorable sight to see.

Zelda is a very sweet girl who is generous with her purrs. She walks around purring without even being touched and winds her way around your legs to say hello. While she isn’t a fan of being picked up she does love pets, especially scratches on her head and scritches on her cheeks. She will head bump you to remind you to give her these in case you’ve forgotten. Overall Zelda is more on the shy side and appreciates it when people approach her for loving as she is less likely to seek it out with someone she doesn’t know. She also likes it when her human spends time on the floor with her playing or petting. She is perfect with the litter box and has extremely soft fur. Her foster mom calls her “Glimmer” because of how shiny and beautiful her coat is. Zelda would love a quiet home without too much raucous. She enjoys the company of other cats, especially big boy cats, and would be happy in a home with another kitty friend.
