Sit down and get comfy because once I sit on your lap, you’re not going anywhere! My name is Bonita and I am one beautiful senorita! So relax as I purr my story into your ear. I was found as a stray who wandered into a TNR’d colony this past winter. I was seeking food and safety. Luckily the caregiver knew I wasn’t a “typical outdoor colony cat”. Get this, no one came looking for me! I was nervous outside, I was just trying to survive. This means I will be looking for an indoor only forever home. So that sums up how I found myself at HTTR. Now to the good stuff. My foster family just adores me! I quickly made myself at home the first night wandering around, investigating, then to the couch I went! Just a tip, you may want to purchase a sectional couch before bringing me home. See I sprawl out and you’ll find yourself on the floor! Since I am such a sweet girl, you can pick me up and place me on your lap for extra winter warmth. The teenager I spend my space with brings over new friends often and I make sure each one gets a cuddle. Even though my foster family thinks I am a “catch” there is one thing about me I dislike; being brushed.  Does anyone remember being a child and having your family brush the mats out of your hair, yeah like that! Whatever the reason I dislike it, I will keep myself groomed well, but please keep an eye on my “leg pits” and butt area so mats do not develop. If they do, they will need to be carefully snipped out. I haven’t spent time with dogs or children but my personality says I’d be okay if they are respectful of me and I have a proper introduction. Whether you’re a first time kitty owner or a veteran to many, I would be a good girl and adjust well into just about any family!

Just to Review:

🐱Living Arrangements: Indoor only. I am so much more at ease inside

🐱Good w/ Cats: Sure, but no crazy friends. I would be fine by myself too.

🐱Good w/ Dogs: We aren’t sure. Maybe only if introduced properly.

🐱Good w/children: Not much experience but over 10 might be okay

🐱Other: Keep an eye on my mats, I do not like to be brushed so snip them out!

An Eartip is a Badge of Honor

If I am in an adoption program, it means someone took the time to work with me after trapping. They showed me love, taught me to trust, and gave me the confidence to love back so much that I would live my best life indoors with a family.

If you see me in an outdoor home sporting an eartip, it means someone cared enough about me to get me vetted, neutered, vaccinated and make sure I have the best life in my outdoor colony.
