Jamie (aka Dough) originally came to us from a shelter where she did not do well in the shelter environment with all the stresses and noises of other animals. We couldn’t let anything happen to her, so without hesitation we took her into our rescue. Once in a foster home, she slowly showed her wonderful side very loving and affectionate with a splash of sass!
After she had been with our rescue for a while, we did find a loving couple who adopted her and gave her a wonderful home that she so desperately needed. Sadly, after a few years, the couple had a baby and Jamie’s life changed again. The situation became too stressful for all, and Jamie began to show irritability from the baby’s cry and lack of attention that she was getting.
Now back in rescue, she has settled in and has regained her true personality! She is still sassy and loves to be the center of attention. She prefers for things to be on her terms yet she will seek out attention and is very happy to get lots of attention and pets. She will greet you at the door when you get home and be your best bud! She can be a tad vocal but mostly at dinner time. (It is an adorable mew.)
She likes to play and is very curious. In her previous home, she learned to play fetch and pattycake for treats. She is a very smart kitty and would do well with someone who wanted to teach her new tricks to keep her entertained.
She has lived with cats but we feel that she would be best in a home of her own where she does not have to share her human. Due to her history, she would not do well in a home with children or dogs; and will require a quiet and understanding home. This sweet gal has so much purrsonality and love to share. She just needs the right home to give her that chance.

Step 2. Connect with the rescue. This cat is from No Kitten Left Behind-MN. They are a small, volunteer-run, foster-based rescue managed by one dedicated person. To help streamline communication, use the subject line: Application Request for [Cat’s Name] at TCM. In the email body, include when you met the cat and why you’d like to adopt them.
Step 3. Wait for an application to be sent back to your request. Please allow at least 72 hours for a response. If you don’t hear back after that, send a follow-up email in case the original was missed. Email is the best way to get in touch and begin the adoption process.
